Magnetic and heat capacity measurements of the system DyxCu1-x suggest that a) its properties are dominated by random crystalline anisotropy and b) the material is not magnetically ordered for 0.40 ≥ x ≥ 0.55. Long range (asperomagnetic) order cannot be ruled out for intermediate values of x. © 1980.
