Surface Science
A simple method which allows for the electronic-structure calculations of amorphous magnetic alloys from the constituent amorphous pure metals is presented. By comparing the results for nonmagnetic Cu-Zr amorphous alloys with the first-principles calculations, it is shown that the method semiquantitatively describes the electronic structure of amorphous transition metal alloys. © 1992.
