VideoTalks system, a technique of multimedia conferencing allows talks and presentations generated in one auditorium to be received in other auditorium and multicast to desktop computers. It provides a variety of Internet services, such as remote learning and low cost video-on-demand. VideoTalks system consists of some subsystems namely VTInteractive, VT Desktop, VTJukebox, VTOnDemand and VT Lite. VTInteractive subsystem allows a presenter at one location to show himself. VT Desktop makes it possible to listen to main conference room presentations on desktop computers. VTJukebox records the multicast packets sent to VT Desktop clients for later playback. VTOnDemand can be used to review a presentation starting from a selected index point.
