Nanocomposite materials are attracting increasing interest owing to their application potential in various fields, including light-emitting devices, photovoltaic devices, and lithographic tools. Here we focus on the optical properties of dye-doped micelle structure dispersed in polystyrene thin films. The intriguing optical properties of such supramolecular nanocomposites can be explained by considering the formation of J-nanoaggregates concomitant with superradiant behavior. © 2010 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
