Arun Iyengar does research and development into Web performance, distributed and parallel computing, as well as fault-tolerant computing and high availability at IBM's T.J. Watson Research Center. His work has been incorporated into several products (by IBM and other companies) as well as commonly used open source software and improved performance at many highly accessed Web sites serving significant dynamic or encrypted content. Arun is an IEEE Fellow, has won several Best Paper awards (see Selected Publications and/or Technical Work), and has received the IFIP Silver Core Award.
