Computer Architecture (discontinued) - overview


Through the years, researchers at IBM have made seminal contributions to the field of computer architecture and processor design. With the end in sight for scaling transistors in accordance with Moore's law, research in this field has assumed an even higher importance than before. With a diversity of expertise ranging from processor and memory design to compilers and HPC, the Computer Architecture Department at IBM Research is well equipped to tackle fundamental problems in the following domains of expertise.
