Olle Sundström is a Research Staff Member on smart grids in the Systems Management group in the Computer Science department at IBM Zurich Research Laboratory.
Olle Sundström was born in Örebro, Sweden, in 1980. He received the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden, in 2006, and the Doctor of Sciences degree from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich, Switzerland, in 2009. He was previously a Research Assistant with the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Between 2006 and 2009, he was affiliated with the Institute for Dynamic Systems and Control at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich, Switzerland, as well as the Powertrain Research Group, Empa, Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Testing and Research, Duebendorf, Switzerland. His research interests include smart grids, optimal control and optimization, especially for applications of energy management of electric vehicle and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle fleets as well as other demand response units.
