My research interests span in the areas of business analytics, data mining and recommender systems.
Currently, I am at the IBM Research - Zurich Laboratory. Previously, I was with the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, NY. During the summer of 2003, I also visited Microsoft Research.
I received my BSc in Informatics from the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, and my Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Riverside. I have been a recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship and a Marie-Curie International Reintegration Grant.
At IBM I have received six Technical Accomplishment Awards and four Invention Plateau Awards. From 2011-2016 I was the scientific director for the European Research Council project "Exact Mining from InExact Data". My work has led to 100+ publications and patents.
