Research areas 2002-2014:
Development of gate stacks suited for metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors based on high-mobility channels (III-V compound semiconductors) for high-performance, low-power logic applications.
Integration of functional oxides onto standard silicon electronic and nanophotonic platforms to enable novel analogue and digital applications, which will address the transition from More-Moore to More-than-Moore technology trends.
Design and development of advanced materials characterization techniques, in particular x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) performed with laboratory equipment and synchrotron facilities.
Education: PhD in Materials Science for work on high dielectric constant oxides (high-κ) for Si CMOS technology in 2005. Bachelor's degree in Physical Chemistry and a Master's degree in "Materials for communication and energy storage technologies" from the European School for Advanced Studies at the University of Pavia. She has been a research staff member since 2007.
