Dr. Zhu has been the medical lead of pervasive health and a member of the Center for Computational Health at IBM Watson Research. She brings diverse knowledge and experience across medicine, health management, and medical informatics to her role at IBM. Besides her medical training and practice in anesthesiology, she also received a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Informatics from Columbia University under the National Library of Medicine fellowship. Dr. Zhu is currently an External Advisory Board member to the Center for Advanced Technology at Columbia University, and previously served as Chief Medical Information Officer at KGS, associate medical director at Pfizer, clinical project manager for Philips, and healthcare subject matter expert at Veterans Affairs. Her current research focuses on human-centric health promotion, behavior modification, and patient-provider engagement through pervasive digital health.
