Yang Yu is a research member at IBM Watson. His research is mainly focusing on question answering, deep learning and representations learning methods for NLP tasks.
He received his PhD degree from Lehigh University in April 2012. Prior to IBM, he worked at MathWorks during 2012-2013 at language technology department. At IBM, he acheived very good results on several internal machine learning competitions with global researchers. He also designed a few novel neural network architectures to solve question answering problem in general for multiple Watson services which are populuar on market. His current main research interests include, but not limit to, a broad range on Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning.
