As a Research Staff Member in IBM Thomas J Watson research center, my research focuses on large-scale system analyses and optimization. Hands-on experiences span from designing high-performance memory-resident key-value stores to optimizing widely-adopted big data analytic frameworks, such as Hadoop, Spark and HDFS. Over the past few years, I have been very fortunate to have opportunities to collaborate with many distinguished researchers from IBM, LLNL, ORNL, Mellanox, etc. Prior to joining IBM, I earned my Ph.D. in computer science from Auburn University. Before that I received my M.S. in computer science from Rochester Institute of Technology. Even before, I got my Bachelor degree in Transportation Engineering from TongJi University in Shanghai, where is also my hometown.
