My "Research Contributions to Enable and Scale Docker on POWER, LinuxOne and Z" received an Outstanding Technical Achievement Awards (OTAA), March 2016.

I am a Research Staff Member in the Cloud and Cognitive Platforms Research group at the T. J. Watson Research Center. I received my Ph.D. degree in computer science from University of Texas at El Paso in 2006 and subsequently joined IBM Research Center. I am an expert at delivering applications, middleware, compute, and accelerators as-a-service in the cloud. I delivered Autoscaling, Business Rules, Containers in Bluemix cloud and POWER, GPUs and Deep Learning services in internal cloud. I also drive work in IBM Research on various aspects related to Docker, POWER, and Z platforms.

I have extensive experience in data centric computing, hybrid systems, workload optimized systems, parallel and distributed systems, HPC, operating systems, resource management and system performance evaluation for commercial and scientific workloads. I filed more than 30 patents (15 issued), published over 35 papers in international conferences and journals and received two best paper awards and an outstanding paper award from International Parallel and Distributed Symposium (IPDPS), International Symposium on Computer Architecture and High Performance Computing (SBAC-PAD), and International Conference on High Performance Computing and Communications (HPCC), respectively.

I have more than 15 patents granted, more than 20 patents filed with USPTO and received five Plateau awards in recognition of his innovations to IBM. I received two innovation achievement awards for high value patent applications. He received three outstanding technical accomplishment award (OTAA) from IBM for my work on Docker on IBM Systems, Java software stack optimization of various products on POWER platform and for the wok on the Operating System design for HPCS. 

I is the receipt of SPECtacular award for his service to SPEC Research Group. I was on the steering committee member of SPEC Research Group and he is a member of IEEE and ACM since 2007. I am on organizing committees and TPC of various conferences including SC series. I received several awards for my outstnading service to conference organization.
