I am a Research Staff Member in the Exploratory Stream Analytics group at IBM Research. My research interests are centered around algorithm design and optimization on the one hand, and a variety of application areas including data science, knowledge discovery, cognitive visual analytics, big data, machine learning, stream computing, and massively parallel computing on the other. My work often involves working with large enterprise customers in building predictive modeling solutions with Big Data, as well as building technologies and conducting foundational research in the broad area of data science automation.
Prior to joining IBM Research, I received my Ph.D. (2006) and M.S. (2003) degrees in computer science from the University of Maryland at College Park, and my B. Tech. degree (2000) in computer science and engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai (IIT Madras).
