I am a research staff member in the Business Solutions and Mathematical Sciences department, IBM Research. My general interests lie in the field of the Optimization Theory and Algorithms. The main focus of the research is on the development of the practical algorithms for optimization problems which arise from science, economics, and engineering. My research has been conducted in these principal areas: global optimization, graph partitioning, sparse reconstruction, and electric power systems. I received a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Florida in 2010 with William Hager.
I am a winner of the IBM Pat Goldberg Memorial Best Paper Award (2013).
