Hiroyuki Miyazoe received his PhD in Science from the University of Tokyo, Japan in 2009. While performing his MS and PhD research, Hiro worked at the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (EMPA) as a staff engineer from 2003 to 2004 and 2006-2008. His PhD and professional scientific work focused on the generation and application of microplasma jet in a scanning electron microscope. In 2009 Hiro continued his scientific career as a project scientist at the University of Tokyo. In 2010 Hiro joined the IBM TJ Watson Research Center as a post doctoral scientist and he was transferred to a research staff member in 2011.
