I am a senior research staff member in the Center for Computational Health and a member of the Health Analytics Research Group at IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center.
My current research focuses on applying data mining and machine learning techniques to real world health datasets which may be derived from prior clinical trials or studies, electronic medical record, and/or streaming data from biosensors or mobile devices. My prior research focused on computerized clinical decision support, data mining, machine learning and health services research, especially in pediatric medicine.
Before IBM Research, I was an Assistant Professor in the Lerner School of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University and member of Professional Staff at Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio. Prior to this I was an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Children’s Health Services Research program, Department of Pediatrics, Indiana University School of Medicine.
