I am a research staff member at the IBM Research Collaboratory in Singapore. Prior to this, I was a research fellow at the National University of Singapore, with Huan Xu. I have also worked with Peter Auer at Montanuniversität Leoben. I obtained my Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, advised by Gerald DeJong.
My main research focus is in machine learning and AI. In particular, I am interested in clustering and big data analytics, reinforcement learning, robust decision making, feature construction and explanation-based learning.
