Atsuya Okazaki received the B.S. degree in electric engineering and the M.S. degree in computer science from University of Electro-Communications and Nara Institute of Science and Technology, respectively.
After joining IBM, he assisted development of electronic control units (ECU) in an automobile company, and then conducted researches of optically-enabled server subsystems for high-performance servers. Recently, he is proceeding research themes on new memory subsystems for future computing. His major fields are computer hardware architecture, optical interconnect, embedded systems, and security.
A member of editorial committee of Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE) in Japan (2009-2011). Master of Inventor in IBM Research - Tokyo (2012-2013).
