I currently manage the Cognitive Text Analytics group at IBM Research - India. I have been a Researcher at IBM Research since 2006 with a focus on text analytics, machine learning, and predictive analytics. I have worked on and led projects (like Voice of Customer Analytics) related to machine learning and text analytics along with IBM's services businesses and clients. I have also worked as an Analytics Offering Architect in IBM GPS CRM on assignment for 2 years, where I worked with the research, strategy, and software teams and help build and assetize exploratory research projects turning them into reusable analytics assets and service offerings.
I graduated with a Ph.D. from IIT Bombay in 2006 with my dissertation titled Inter-class Relationships in Text Classification, working with Sunita Sarawagi and Soumen Chakrabarti. My research interests are text mining, machine learning, and building operational analytics systems. I have published regularly in top academic research and industry conferences, and am active in professional community service.
