Parul received her B.Tech. in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India and M.S. in electrical engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 2002 and 2003, respectively. She is currently a Technical Staff Member IBM India Research Laboratory, Bangalore, India. Her research interests span algorithms for wireless communication systems, cloud computing, green technologies and machine learning. She is a Senior member of IEEE and ACM.

Parul is on the Executive Board of the IIT Bombay Alumni Association, a recipient of IIT Bombay Distinguished Service Award and the Foundation of Youth Social Entrepreneurship’s fellowship for 100 changemakers under 30yrs in the Asia-Pacific region.
