I am an a Research Staff Member and a Technical Lead in the Water and Environment group in the IBM Research Smarter Cities Technology Centre in Dublin. I have 5+ years of experience in the real time implementation and control of large scale systems. My research interests are in large scale modelling, control, data assimilation and their intersection with High Performance Computing. Currently I am investigating real time operations systems for coastal and marine applications.
Prior to joining IBM in 2011, I did two indutrial postodcs with NUIM, UCD, Intel Ireland and a cluster of manufacturing multinations. My work was in the implementation of analytics and control systems for manufacturing processes, with semiconductors, pharmaceutical and biomedical applications.
I am an adjunt faculty member at the National University of Galway, Ireland (NUIG) and a visiting lecturer at NUIM Maynooth.
