Claire Reeves completed her PhD in Mathematics from Queensland University of Technology in 2015. Her thesis, titled “Integrated Ambulance Scheduling and Rostering”, dealt with relocating and dispatching staffed emergency vehicles while simultaneously considering preferences for beginning and ending shifts at certain times and locations. She currently works for IBM Research Australia as a Post-Doctoral Researcher, contributing knowledge of metaheuristic solution approaches to the optimisation team. While primarily based in the Population Health team, she also has interests in emergency management. Prior to undertaking her PhD, she worked as an Operations Research Analyst providing decision support in the Australian Public Service.
